i know alot of you were shocked last week at the dismissal of chris. i think out of all the idols i was the most surprised at his departure. we all thought he would make it. in fact, only FIVE people said that he would get voted off last week, and i think some of you were just saying it cos you didnt particularly like him. almost everyone supported him. HE was even shocked when he heard that he was going home. my question is, was he a little too cocky? did all the hype of this underpriviledged country bumpkin who was supporting his wife's children (that weren't his) go straight to his head? thoughts?

Something about those numbers (poll) just doesn't jive with Elliot . . . @_X

I think only Taylor did well enough to deserve to be there next week, but I think Katharine had the best single performance of the evening--even if her other two were duds. And was it me? Or was I the only one who thought she forgot some of the lyrics to the first song and just winged it for a few bars? It wasn't brought up, but then at this point, who's gonna admit it. ^^' Have to listen to that back later again.

Elliot sang well, but as was observed by the judges the song he chose was hard for most people to connect with--and really know if it was sang well or not (at least in comparison to the original).

Somewhere Over the Rainbow could be the the difference between Katharine staying and Elliot going--we shall see. If she does make it, she'll have to thank Simon for that one.

I agree with [info]_foodle_. I would buy ALL of their CD's...and if I'd been able to vote for all 3 of them on the last question, I would have. Which is the first time I've thought that about any AI final 3.

Elliott: He sang his first song flat. I don't mean his notes were flat; his manner in singing the song was flat, as if he were very nervous and were trying to be cautious. I thought he sang the second song well, even if I don't like th song, and I liked his last performance the best, but based on all 3 singers' performances tonight, I'd pick him going home. Simon thought the same, and I don't know if that'll affect the votes or not, but he was telling the truth.

Katharine: She seemed to run with her first song...I don't know if I'm explaining it right, hmm...she sang it okay, and her final song was good. "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was gorgeous.

Taylor I didn't like Clive's choice of song for him to sing at all. What was Clive trying to do, get him voted off? Interesting. I think he undersang the second, and was good on the third.

Prediction: Elliott most likely.

If my mom heard right when people were voting for chris they ended up voting for kat because the system was fucked up or something. She could of heard that wrong, but they're looking into it. I'm not all that pissed anymore, because I think the same thing happened with Clay/Ruben --- Fantasia/Dianna - Fantasia SUCKS. No offense if you like her, I just think Dianna was better.

Doesn't matter, chris is going to be the lead signer for fuel after this AI tour ends this summer. or so thats the latest rumor mill

I think this year especially many idols will go on to do other (big) things regardless of the outcome. In fact if Chris had won, he might very well have been handcuffed by contractual obligations to AI and it's sponsoring corporations. In the end, it might very well work out best for him.

I heard about that too. It was on some e-mail response thing on MSNBC.com. I wonder if that was really the case. If so, could they really prove that it happened? And if so, what would they do? I can't imagine the mess it would make for the producers.

I agree fantasia did suck.. What was with all those faces taylor was making last night he looked like he was going to get sick? And yes Kat will have to thank Simon that song was perfect for her first time I dint have to mute her.. Eliot didnt do good on that first song I didnt think.. But I guess will see what happens tongiht. Im still mad about Chris.. But better things will come for him.
