Why isn't Taylor included in the "if things had gone your way"?
They are going my way :)!

I'm sure Simon's ego will go up yet another notch if Taylor wins (since he called him the winner)--even though he's the one who said he'd never make it in the beginning.

I think Taylor has been the most consistent, even if he's a little off the wall sometimes. =P He's also the only one who's never been in the bottom before--though if he loses tomorrow it would be the once and only time. =P

If Katharine does lose, I think she can thank (aka violently smack) whomever wrote/composed that dreadful song for her. Taylor's wasn't much better, but he did a lot more of it--showed what you need to do if you are recording new/your own music.

I disagree with Randy though. Katharine's first performance of Black Horse and the Cherry Tree was better. The first one had more charm in it, and I personally thought she showcased her voice better. This version sounded more like KT Tunstall's--which is not a good thing. And I am a KT fan, I have her CD and buncha her live performances. KT is a great performer, watching her jam out on the guitar and playing with her beloved pedals and all. =P But vocally . . . ^^'' Not that good.

Personally I think they both performed subpar compared to their other performances, but then I'm sure they both were playing it a little safe. I do think Taylor did a wise thing and pick songs from earlier in the competition so it didn't just sound like a repeat with the performances from the past couple of weeks still fresh in the viewer's minds (also a risk for comparison too). And (Katharine) Picking a top 40 song that people have heard a zillion times wasn't a good idea either. Yes Katharine you can sing it better, but... We've heard it many times now. thank you very much.

On merit, the winner should be Taylor. But in AI? Popularity is just as important--and that is a very suspect thing at times. We shall see tomorrow! With the talent level this year though, I think winning is not that important. We'll be hearing a lot more from more than the top two in the year to come, I think.

Okay, tonight was scandalous for me. Katharine's song was TERRIBLE. It wasn't her key, it wasn't her style. I feel like the producers want Tyler to win and they set her up. I think there is going to be lashback.

I love both of them and will be happy if either wins, but Katharine got totally ripped off.

I kinda hope that Katharine doesn't win because I'd like to see her on Broadway next year. Leave the smokey bar scene for Taylor.

I like Katharine more, but I thought Taylor did better tonight especially with his new single.

Chris and Elliott better get record deals soon!

Horrible, horrible final songs for both of them. If I didn't know better, I'd think that the songwriter had something against Katharine. That was too low for her.

On the other hand, yes, I agree that Taylor was able to somehow make that song his own. Also, I agree with Paula for once: Taylor's better than that song.

Yes, Simon predicted Taylor would win, but....he had also predicted Clay would win.

We'll see.

I would have liked to see Lisa win, and if the voting was based on vocal talent, she would have been in the finals.
